The "jewel" in the garage is my 1969 Austin Mini. It's from New Zealand and I've done extensive restoration on it in the approximately 10 years I've owned it. I drive it weekly as weather permits. No rain or snow.
FYI, I only ride Lambretta scooters and I've restored quite a few of them so if anyone needs any work done on a Lambretta send them my way.

Here's an idea for Mayor Gray, give a property tax break to folks who purchase a scooter or motorcycle for transportation. Split up a few parking spaces into two-wheels-only parking, and encourage the citizenry to ride instead of drive.

Seems to me that there are ways this could be done that would cut down on a lot of cost to the city in the long run, and for a lot less cost than laying down a new trolley line.

"Due to" is wrong in that context anyway. "Due to" modifies nouns and almost always follows a form of the verb "to be." It means "attributable to." It answers what, not why. "Because of" answers why.

Thanks Gerry for a great report! I was the one that teased you about having a "scooter" in the midst of all the Maxi-scoots. I rode nothing larger than the 250cc class all of my riding years until the last three, when I suddenly became gung-ho for doing long distance endurace riding and move to the 400cc class. The 250cc class is tough to beat for all-around versatility and economy.
Thanks again for the report and I hope to see you in the spring.

Wow, it is amazing you rode home in that condition only being aware of a little pain in your left side. It seems like you will make a full recover, which I'm glad to hear.

It looks like you landed right on your face. Like I did when I crashed my Buddy 125 a couple years ago. I don't think the jacket would've saved you from any broken bones; just road rash. I was wearing shorts, Crocs, gloves, a fleece jacket, and my full face helmet. I went down at 45 mph on the street. Tumbled a while. I was pretty lucky and only got road rash and a jammed thumb.

Don't second guess yourself on what you should've done when the moth landed on your face shield. It is not reasonable to pull over every time a bug lands or splatters on your shield. The mistake was focusing on it for more than a 1/2 second.
